When designing your website there are a number of factors that must be considered to ensure repeat visits and an enjoyable experience for your audience. The visual impact of the website is an important factor - the colours must work well together, all images must be clear, and everything should look good in all browsers. Colour Schemes

The websites we design do not use 'busy' backgrounds, as we believe the page content is the most important factor. All text colours are of contrast to the background, to aid the ease of reading, and all links stand out in a seperate colour or style, to further emphasize them. We also employ many techniques to ensure that the web page is inclusive to most minority groups, and is not offensive to anyone. This means using politically correct terminology, not discriminating against any minority groups, and designing to allow access to the all content by people with disabilities or who are vision impaired. This in turn increases the exposure of your website, and allows for your product to reach a wider market.

Loading Times

We have a broad understanding of the Speed Pages concept, which is basically a series of guidelines to create a fast loading website. Studies have shown that if a potential customer is forced to wait any more than about 3 seconds for your page to load, they will leave the site. It is vitally important, in the interest of maintaining a wide customer base, that all pages load quicker than 3 seconds, and the design of our pages enable this.

Advertising

Advertising is another major factor in determining whether your website will be succesful in gaining customers. You have probably noticed yourself as you surf the internet that many pages are very advertisment-heavy. We do not include any popups with any website we design, and we will not place our own ads on your website, apart from a small text link in the footer. The only ads displayed will be those you require for your business. This will increase customer satisfaction and return visits to your website.

Information

Information available on your website must be concise, logical and well presented. We understand the concepts of placement and layout in presenting your information, and employ these standards in every website we design to best allow readers access to your information. This includes not allowing pages to 'spill' over the sides of the screen, thus eliminating unecessary scrolling, using clear headings to segment text large blocks of text, and using correct sized fonts, to add credibility to the information on your site.
